Hi,
I had a question regarding Datev cost centers and cost units.
Can anyone give me an explanation of both, and how do they differ from each other?
Many thanks!
Gelöst! Gehe zu Lösung.
Hello Mr. Guilhou,
cost centers and cost objects are not considered differently in DATEV Cost Accounting. It is not recommended to use the field „KOST1" for cost centers and the field „KOST2" when booking, because two KOST systems are required for this method.
Cost centers and cost objects are usually represented together in one number. For example, with a 6-digit number, the first 3 characters could represent the cost center and the last 3 characters the cost object. Here are
some examples:
100200: Cost center = 100, cost object = 200
100300: Cost center = 100, cost object = 300
200200: Cost center = 200, cost object = 200
200300: Cost center = 200, cost object = 300
