DVD 12 Datev-Platform Installation Error

Hi All

I have a virtual server with Windows Server 2016 Standard (updated to 14393.2515) and SQL Server 2014 (updated to SP2+CU13 - 12.0.5590.1). Server is DC also. Datev DVDs is connected as ISO. Installation was made through "Run as administrator" and using local admin's account. During installation I got an error:

Hi,

you already checked the userrights of L: (\\windvsw1 as shown in the installationguide)?

Perhaps this is part of this fault?

Yeah...I checked the rights twice - all are correct

can the above error be a result of disconnected network drive (L:)

Yes, that's possible or the solution. If you install the DVD 12.0, networkdrive L: has to be mandatory connected. Otherwise, the installer can't write data into L:\DATEV\DATEN and the CONFIGDB.

Other words the installer reads network drive status only without "real" access test...

When network drive status become "connected"/green (drive connects through GPO's User Configuration), Datev-Platform installation performed like a piece of cake
